DISTRIBUTOR TERMS & CONDITIONS


Account Terms and Payment:

Regular terms are C.O.D./cash. On approved credit we offer C.O.D./company check. Once a successful account history has been established, accounts are periodically reviewed and considered for open account status. There will be $50.00 service charge for returned checks. All house accounts are billed "Net 30 Days" from date of invoice rather than the date merchandise is received. All past-due accounts are subject to 2% monthly interest charge.


Order Terms:

All orders require written Purchase Order or a signed confirmation prior to any shipment.


Damages or Shortages:

All merchandise leaving Mackin warehouse are inspected to be free from any damage before shipping. It is the responsibility of the customer to inspect shipments upon receipt of merchandise. Mackin's responsibility for a shipment ceases once the carrier accepts the shipment. Visible damage, concealed damages or shortage claims caused in transit must be made directly to the freight carrier. It is required that all carrier freight bills be signed "subject to inspection". It is the responsibility of the customer and the carrier to rectify claims. Shipment discrepancies or manufacturing defect claims must be made to Mackin within five (5) business days of receipt of order.


Returns and Stock Adjustments:

Returns will only be allowed for parts that are in new and resalable condition. Wheels must be new and un-mounted. Merchandise that has been modified from its original condition (drilled, center bored, chromed, mounted, etc.) will not be accepted for credit. Stock adjustments will be allowed on merchandise that is less than 60 days from the original invoice date. Any merchandise beyond 60 days must be approved by account representative. We require a 2 for 1 (dollar) offsetting order for any inventory adjustments. Products returned "non-defective" are subject to a 20% restocking fee. All returns must be authorized for returns with a RGA (Return Goods Authorization) number that will be issued by an account representative. Please contact us at (800) 821-6025. The RGA number must clearly written on shipping label or box, and shipment will be prepaid to Mackin or the shipment will be refused. Make sure the carrier you choose to send your package, requires a signature upon delivery (eg. UPS, Federal Express or Certified U.S. Mail). Mackin will not held responsible for the lost or misdirected mail.


Wheel Warranty:

Wheels are warranted for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase against defects in materials or workmanship such as peeling, flaking or blistering of plating. This warranty does not cover corrosion of discoloration due to chemicals (including excessive exposure to road salt or other common de-icing agents), detergents, polishing compounds or abrasives used in improper cleaning. This warranty does not provide coverage for plastic parts that are vacuum metalized or coated with semi-metallic finishes. This warranty will be void if wheels are damaged from mechanical car wash equipment, nicks from road hazards, improper tire mounting, use of clip on weights, improper installation, accident or curb damage, normal wear and tear, neglect or road hazards. On occasion, you may see pits or minor imperfections on any chromed wheel. These imperfections are the result of the manufacturing process of the wheel itself and therefore are not considered to be chrome defects; therefore, chrome warranty does not apply to these imperfections. Freight and expenses incurred for labor and mounting or dismounting of tires are not covered by this warranty and therefore will remain the responsibility of the customer. Replacement of wheels that have been mounted will not be offered unless warranty adjustment is required within 30 days from purchase. It is the customer's responsibility to inspect wheels and fitment prior to mounting of tires or installation on any vehicle. Wheels that have been mounted with tires or installed on the vehicle will not be accepted for replacement under warranty. Wheels that are returned for any reason must be sent freight prepaid. Returned merchandise will need to be properly packed and prepared in its original packaging for shipment. Mackin will not accept responsibility for damage due to lack of proper packaging or mis-handling by any shipping company. Take steps to inform your customers of their responsibility in order to avoid misunderstandings regarding the limits of coverage under this warranty.
